Guardians of Order

Take a look at the world around you. There are some things that are just accepted as truth.

The sky will always be above us. The ground will always be beneath us. All things are born, and all things die. The universe is infinite, but our lives are limited; mere insignificant specks in the vast plane of existence. Science has sought answers for centuries. And the more we learn, the larger the truth becomes. It is unwavering in its solidity.

But what if that truth wasn't true?

What if time could be forwarded, rewound, or even held still? What if life could be created on a whim, and we could escape death? What if we could bring the sky and all of its contents to us, and raise earth to float above us? Medicine, physics, chemistry; what if they were fluid, and nothing was concrete?

Chaos. Chaos is what would be brought upon us.

The laws of nature are what people call the rules of existence. People claim it is impossible to break these laws, but I am here to tell you that it is possible. And the price one pays for breaking them is astronomical.

But it is not only the perpetrator who pays the price. All of humanity eventually pays alongside them. That is why we are here. To ensure the stability of our existence, and to guard it against those who endanger it in the name of power, destruction, and chaos.

We are the Guardians of Order, and we stand to ensure humanity does not fall.
