blood roots

Morrad is a place where everything in your blood matters. Literally. The beings that live in Morrad are defined in every aspect by their blood, each color, from red all the way to white, has it's own status and power.

Sakura is an orphan, and has been living in the slums all her life. Her blood is colorless like water, and from what it seems she has no power, in terms of status, she is worth less than the lowest. The only way that she survives is through fighting and stealing from the merchants in town, as much as her best friend and guardian wishes for better.

Sakura doesn't mind living the way she does, she has no qualms about it, but what she does hate is being powerless. Having no ability makes her feel like she shouldn't belong in this world, and she would have to try to except that fact.

However that changes, when she accidentally falls into a foreign area of the mountains Sakura discovers a strange stone, and finds out how powerful she can really be.
