Stella moved around a lot because of her fathers job she was used to it but when she got the cold water Michigan it was totally different than she thought it was going to be. Her mother wasn't in the picture as much as she'd like her to be she was physically and mentally unable to do anything for herself. So she moves to cold water so her mother can get the treatment that she needs.
