Not only was she quiet, but smart, beautiful and had an amazing voice.
Being the second daughter of the king, means she would never be the queen of Ashmandy, unless her brother Alem died or her father disowned him. Having a younger step sister, Elle and a younger half brother Malvoro meant she was never really the centre of attention or even taken care of. She grew up the day her mother died.
But being a princess means finding a prince, falling in love and ruling a country.

We all make promises. We all say that we'll keep those promises going for eternity. But, they never actually last that long. Being royal doesn't mean they're immune to the outside world. They have feelings just like anyone else. They have deaths and they have issues they need to deal with. Princess Abigail isn't any different. She lost her mum young, she feels pressured by the public to be the epitome of perfect. Her boyfriend, Klein, is trying to help her but she feels like he's adding to her pressure. Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all.
