The French Infirmity (unfinished)

Paris, 2078

After America fell into a national debt crisis in 2022, the modern world fell with it... Our world alone now suffers from a range of cataclysms; overpopulation, starvation, terrorism, Climate Change and disease, but France as one of the few surviving nations is now considered the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world. Paris, now gridlocked is a city confined to small spaces, reaching for the sky in a never ending maze of skyscrapers and monuments; while the nation's poor works outside the walls of the city on bio-farms, nuclear power stations and border units.

Meanwhile the lucky work in government sectors, high quality industries and transportation throughout the few socially quarantined cities left dotting the French wastelands. Yet the E.S.A (European Space Agency) discovers an eleven kilometer diameter asteroid in Pluto's orbit which has turned and begun it's journey towards Earth; with only ten years preparation, the French government issues contraceptive pills disguised as hunger tablets of which both males and females can take; code-named The French Infirmity.

Hoping this will ease the world's suffering and give time for the world to prepare, the government continues each day as if nothing is to happen; whilst a young journalist born in America to French parents is one of the first to find out the true purpose of the pill and sets out to seek the truth, unknowing of the cataclysm that the world will have to face in a mere decade...
