The following correspondence was take from volume 5 of P K Randolph's letters to Marmaduke. Each volume held some 900 entries and was used by Historian Hertz Van Rental to clearly chart Randolph's travels during the spring of that year. He had travelled extensively in mainland Europe in February and had returned home unexpectedly, for one week only, to attended a charity event in Bloomsbury.

Little has been discovered as to the exact nature of what followed, but within 2 days he had left the country and did not return for some 13 months. He was reportedly spotted in Vienna and subsequently Moscow by a contemporary of the Royal Society of English Antiquities at a cafe on the outskirts of Vienna, but this was never verified beyond the gossip of society circles. There is however a brief mention of the sudden departure in a letter from Prince Albert to the Royal Horticulture Society at Kew, Subscribers and Patrons review yearbook (Page 10, Paragraph 4) and a further brief mention in the local Police report, following the initial incident.

In 1995, when I was eighteen years old, I began a gap year overseas. My experiences in Egypt were character-building to say the least, and I have many fond memories of attempted muggings, freight hopping, jumping off moving buses, being stranded in the Sahara Desert and narrowly avoiding molestation at the hands of a randy Arab − good times indeed! I have supplemented the writing with primary sources, particularly letter extracts and photographs, and with poems in places, rather like the pharaonic statue that has been lying in pieces for centuries, which is finally restored with resins and prostheses to a semblance of its former glory. I began this undertaking in 2004 when the details were quite distinct in my mind, but it was sidelined within a year in favour of other projects. Now, over twenty years from the events, it is even more of a challenge to recall them accurately. Thankfully, the accounts written then and the letters have served as a memory bridge, but it should be said that even the letters themselves fall short in providing a complete picture of my experiences. Since they were written to my mother, there was always an element of self-censorship about them: omissions of our wayward antics, the alarming predicaments that we found ourselves in or true feelings. Some of these have been revealed in what follows but behind a poetic veil. Therefore, this work is a confession of sorts. Mostly, however, it is an attempt to capture the cultural landscape of the time and the adventures we had in the hope that it may inspire others to travel overseas. I have censored a couple of chapters, in accordance with Wattpad's guidelines on mature content, and placed them in Bad Ambassadors: Censored Chapters. This is my recollection of events, but I acknowledge that others may remember them differently, and I intend no harm. I have changed some names and pixelated some faces in order to respect these people's privacies. I dedicate this to all of my Egyptian friends.

¡Currently on hold! *This story involves many events that some people may find vulgar. These events are not based on a true story. The characters and the plot of this story are purely fictional and made for reader enjoyment only. Reader discretion is advised.* Stalking A girl named Sienna Dyllan recently started her first year at Middletown East High. Living only with her brother and sister, her life seemed to be going considerably well. That is until that one night when she started to hear footsteps when no one else was around. Kidnapping No one expected that a human trafficking rink was located so close to their homes. There were stories of girls young as 8 years old disappearing from the state capitol, Raleigh and a few towns surrounding it; Garner and Louisburg. Yet not one person was able to connect it to a single house in the little town of Zebulon. That is until they made the mistake of kidnapping the sister of their only rival. Murder Members of a very old society have held their families together over the years. Doing whatever they deemed necessary to protect their own. Even if it meant committing murder. After loosing their sanctuary to a traitor, hatred burned through their veins. They bid their time and grew even stronger as as they waited for the right moment to retaliate. Upon the discovery of the murder of the leader's sister, the secret society wanted blood. The leader was pulled into two different directions. One to find the bastard who killed his sister. Another to find the girl who holds the key to either destroy all that they have worked for or win the deadliest of wars ever seen in history. Which in the end, the answer they need begins with one simple man.

The adventurous journey continues. After Dave suddenly finds himself blackmailed by the IRA, Tom and Martin travel to London to help him solve the problem. In the process they get to know other "right people", the German TV cameramen Hans and Reiner and the musicians of the reggae band "The Uptones". In the course of the year, Tom and Martin travel to Northern Ireland, where they meet Barry Madden, the head of finance of the IRA, who turns out to be a "very nice murderer". They meet a similarly "nice murderer", namely the Libyan head of state, Col. Gaddafi, when they accompany Madden on a secret trip to Libya, where he strikes an "arms for information" deal. Gaddafi offers generous financial support to the Greek resistance organization in return for information from the NATO base at Souda Bay on Crete, from where he fears an attack on his country. But in Greece, too, there are further adventures to be had. For example Philipos, the youngest, cheekiest and most precocious member of the group, on a mission that the group is carrying out in Kastoria in northern Greece, finds himself in a cellar with 100 skulls and a zombie, which is a big, albeit embarrassing, step on his path to adulthood. Time and again Tom and his friends get into unpredictable, dangerous situations, which they survive because the members of their group now understand each other other blindly, become braver each time and learn from their mistakes. Of course there are news about the love triangle of Tom - Sophia - Nikos, and love affairs also emerge among the other members of the resistance group. As I said - the journey continues, more adventurous, more dangerous, more exciting. This is a work of fiction, although I thoroughly researched the historical facts. New chapters will be uploaded every Friday.
Professor Layton and the Politician's Wrath by Unknown_Mafia786
15 parts Complete Mature
The second story in the series! Part of the 'Unwounded Future' series/AU whatever you want to call it. Set shortly after 'Professor Layton and the Conspicuous Organisation.' The Professor has returned from his adventure in America! But what exactly was he doing there in the first place? The Professor has noticed people have been disappearing from the streets of London, making it much more quieter than it usually is. 'Professor Layton and the Politician's Wrath' explores Layton's adventure in America as well as how Luke and Flora can solve mysteries by themselves, without their mentor. Also features returning characters such as Bill Hawks. Shortly after stopping Cyrus and defeating Targent, the Professor and gang decide to relax at Clive's house, where Layton talks about how great everyone was solving the mystery, especially Luke and Flora. But something is on the Professor's mind. The streets of London have been quiet. Very quiet. Layton thinks this is strange and that something is causing this event of silence. But, little does he know, an old rival of Dimitri and Clive has been making moves of his own in order to silence people who threaten his rule and also wants to target the Professor and gang. Can Layton and Co. stop this evil madman from perfecting his rule? Can they stop him from silencing and threatening to kill people? And can Layton trust his friends to not betray him against this person? Or will they stab him in the back and let Layton, Luke and Flora become prisoners to the man? WARNING: This contains MAJOR spoilers for the first story 'Professor Layton and the Conspicuous Organisation' as well as the games 'Lost/Unwound Future' and "Azran Legacy" and may contain some minor spoilers related to 'Pandora's/Diabolical Box' and 'Spectre's Call/Last Specter.' If you haven't seen or played them, then I highly recommend doing so before reading any further. Part 1: https://www.wattpad.com/story/291696581-professor-layton-and-the-conspicuous-organisation
