Rick is a genius scientist with a 14-year old grandson, Morty. Now, there are millions of dimensions and universes, and Rick isn't the most "follow the laws of the Galaxy" kind of guy. Him bending the laws of the universe isn't exactly unusual. But when the consequences of such things comes back to get him, it's not what he expects. And Morty doesn't see it coming.
