After a foggy new years night, young Brian Zietcher is thrown into complete darkness. After what seemed like hours, he is greeted by a dark figure.
Death.
Years later, a young girl, Artemis Caspeen, finds herself in front of an ancient box. After opening it, she realizes her mistake.
Now, Death has assigned Brian, known as Reaper Arcatane, to gather all the beings the clumsy human let out of the box, and must team up with Artemis in order to save the world from destruction.
