Olivia hadn't seen, much less thought of Liam for years. Not after he abandoned her for his crush on the much more popular Serena, or after he basically denied their friendship in front of everyone. Despite his sudden departure in freshman year, Olivia's mind hadn't much wandered to the thought of him not just because of her determination to be a perfect student, but because of the immense amount of pain he had caused her.
One night, just as she is about to go to bed, Liam shows up. This isn't the same Liam from 3 years earlier, this is Silver Knight a small-town hero who has recently become an international phenomenon. He needs her help and tempted to prove to him that she isn't the sorry girl he left behind a year ago, Olivia is all but eager to join in.
She soon finds herself knee deep in government and international lies and secrets, not to mention knee deep in completely and utterly confusing feelings for Liam. On the bright side, she now has a great topic for her college application essay.
