This is a story about Emerald, Flower, Match, and Ruby, which are rejected by a collab who was trying to protect a website called Scratch from a glitch, except for Pearl and Lapis.  They knew they must give up Pearl and Lapis for their safety.  Sometime later in the future, they somehow manage to find an investigation group in New York, with a warning about the future of Cutout Town.
