After the world ended, Larkin lost everything, her friends, her family, everyone she cared about, and every possession she owned. She was on her own out in the walker infested forests of Virginia, until she met Thomas. A man with a community that was thriving and heavily protected from the living dead.
Our story takes place three years after Larkin joined the Buck Hill community. Where she is now leader of the group and striving for a better future. Larkin has already met with Rick Grimes and his group at Alexandria, and she knows of the Hill Top group. But things aren't always easy and trading seemed almost impossible until a man wielding a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire knocked on her front door.

Daryl Dixon, red neck trash who follows his older brother, Merle, everywhere he goes. Well, Daryl also has a kid. A little girl named Kathryn Ann Dixon. She goes by the nickname, Kata, a name her mother gave her. When she was two, her mother disappeared. Merle was in jail for two years and by the time Merle got out, Kata was four and they left their grandfather's place after Daryl learned the dark secret that hurt his daughter. When Kata's grandfather died, her family got the trailer and even though it was hard for her family, they made it work. Kata was taught how to hunt, shoot a gun, and grossly, how to gut certain animals. One night, the world died. Everything. The dead started coming back to life, killing the living. Her family ran into a man and woman on the highway, combing with other people, making a larger group. Everything started really change when a man named Rick Grimes came to the group.

Everyone shivered on their knees. Simon walked back and forth as he stared at us, nodding his head and smiling as if approving his shiny new friends. "Alright! Let's meet the man himself!" He smiles with excitement in his eyes. He walks over to the R.V. door and knocks on it twice. He steps to the side and awaits for Negan to step out. Everyone around waited with anticipation for Negan to come out. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how I knew that name. Even if there were a gun to the back of my head, I still wouldn't remember it... The R.V. door opens and out comes a tall, slim man wearing a leather jacket with a wooden bat wrapped in barbed wire resting on his shoulder. Negan shows a smile and that's when it hits me. When Kate wakes up from a head injury, unable to remember the previous hours, she travels on foot from Virginia to Georgia, meeting new people. Later down the line, she comes across a familiar face.
