Thump - a faint vibration in the earth followed a gust of wind. Four dinosaur-foot-shaped depressions appeared in the grass. Further away, past the depressions, goal posts and trees blurred as if hidden behind slightly translucent glass. Then, it wasn't so translucent. Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. Every sudden movement sent my heart racing, my body coiled to either flee or fight. The shadows held demons from my nightmares, and every creak of the floor was a harbinger of doom.
