This is the year 2500, the future. Everything is pretty much the same but one tiny detail, the symbol. Everyone is born with a symbol (like a necklace) only 2 people in the world have the same symbol, a boy and a girl. Around 2200 they started this rule, because of so many heart breaks and the society thought it would be easier to find "the one".

-completed- Jack looked down at the timer on his wrist and sighed. In 6 days, 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 5 seconds, he was supposed to find his soulmate. Ironically, he had a Vid-Con panel with some friends that day. He often turned down the possibility that it might be one of them, and he assumed that it would be some random event. Possibly a phone call, or someone wandering on stage. He didn't really understand how the clock worked, all he knew was that the second your clock hits zero, you would kiss your soulmate. You can't control it. They may be in a completely different country, but your brain makes you fly there. Nothing gets in the way. Mark looked down at his wrist. What if you had a stop watch counting down every moment till you meet you soul mate? What would you do? Where would u go the day it would run out? What if your soul mate wasn't who you expected? Everyone is born with a eternal stopwatch constantly ticking, counting down the exact moment when you meet your soulmate. It's a small number on your wrist like a tattoo, but you are the only one that can see it. Mine ends in a few days and I am scared out of my mind. What if he is a jerk? Or what if all he wants is sex? Or what if he rejects me? I don't know what I am going to do! I turned around and was meet with the softest lips on the planet. We kissed softly at first but it became more and more passionate. He pulled me onto his lap facing him. My legs were wrapped around his waist and he never broke the kiss. If you were strange, you were diagnosed as a Different. For everyone was to wear the same things, act the same, and love the same. A normal person would fall in love after they were twenty to someone of the opposite gender. Marriages were considered a hassle, so you would not have a ceremony, just decide if you wanted to be married or not. Once married, there was no divorcing. For if you were not normal, you'd be coded. Everyone is born with a countdown on their wrist. It counts down to the time you meet your soulmate. my second chance (Haikyuu au)
This is a haikyuu soulmate au. The way the soulmates work is they will get a colour stripe on their dominant wrist, the colour will be their soulmates favourite colour and will be scented like their soulmate. Their soulmate's initials will be engraved in with the stripe. if the initials are white then the soulmate is platonic and if the initials are black then the soulmate is romantic however this can change but that is very rare. The stripe appears at birth. It is possible for someone to not get a stripe but some people can get a delayed soulmate and develop their stripe later but not all. If the soulmate is romantic, then the soulmate will stay true to the persons sexuality. If the soulmate gets hurt the person will be able to sense where (if its physical pain). Mental pain works slightly differently so for example, their soulmate is going through grief, they can feel ever so slightly what the soulmate is feeling so sometimes people can be found suddenly tearing up, even in the happiest of moments, of sadness. If the soulmate is uncomfortable or has been harassed, the person will get visions of it almost like looking back on a memory. when soulmates kiss their stripes will glow slightly.Terminé

He was my exact opposite but hey opposites attract right? You know how some people believe in soul mates? Well in my world everyone knows they are real. When you turn 18 you can hear your soul mate a.k.a tap into their thoughts. And even if you've known your soul mate your entire life you won't know until the first time you see them either on or after your 18th birthday and it is like love at first sight. Ten minutes left on the clock that was attached to my wrist as a baby. We're all given them, and while I'm not entirely sure how they work, they've yet to be wrong. Some people never get to meet their soul mates, their other half dies before they get the chance. When this happens your clock stops, and while it never falls off your wrist, it never continues the countdown either. We're not allowed to date anyone who isn't our soulmate, it's a rule. And once you've touched your soulmate for the first time, a small mark that is unique to your relationship appears on your wrist, a mark that binds you to that person forever.
