After 10 years of Giselle Opten witnessing mother's death, she still blames her abusive, alcoholic, cheating father and his mistress (named) Kay, for everything. Therefore, Giselle takes it upon herself to make Kay feel the same grief that she did at the age of 7 and that she has to feel for the rest of her life. Once Giselle brings revenge to Kay, she takes off starting her new life where no one will know her past, in fear that she will get caught and locked away in jail- or even an asylum. She knows she isn't crazy. She didn't do it because she is crazy. She did it because Kay deserves to know how it feels to miss the one you love most for the rest of your life because of another person. Once Giselle commits the crime and flees; finally being free from her dad's abuse, she promises to herself, that she'll Never Look Back. "I won't. I just won't!" She cries out. "I'm never looking back!"
