Guadalupe- Born in 1940 (age 71) her mom gave birth to her during their trip from El Salvador to the United States. She was born between the borders of the U.S. and Mexico. Her parents settled in a small farm town in california. Will be known as lupe, mami, and abuela. She is a true salvadoran grandma with very traditional values.
Gloria- Born in 1977 (age 33)- A wild child with a big heart. With her mom Guadalupe being very strict, she rebelled in more ways than one. At 17 she got pregnant and had to drop out of school. And even though people tried to break her. She was always too strong to let it faze her. She is fun and crazy but momma bear to the extreme. Mess with her daughter and she will break you.
Gabriela- born in 1994 (age 17)- Known as G.G. to her friends. She is smart, ambitious, and beautiful. She holds her mom Gloria together. And sometimes feels like the mom. She is responsible and the light of her grandma's world. She will be the one to make their dreams come true. With being the 1st to graduate and go to college. She focuses real hard to please her mom and grandma that she sometimes puts her own happiness in the back burner.
This story has a lot time jump and spanish. And a lot of mention of the Salvadoran culture (i am salvadoran) I will translate and explain things. This is a love story with a twist that will shock you...
