The Player Next Door
**Complete** Madelyn Foster is just your not so average 18 year old. She holds a lot of guilt, grief, and heartbreak, caused from a traumatic childhood. Her and her brother got out of it physically, but never emotionally. She decides to move across the country, to get away from the memories that her hometown holds. Moving across the country, means leaving her brother and the woman that pieced her and her brother back together, behind. Her and her service dog move into an apartment with a roommate. Her apartment just happens to be next to the town's player. They also not so coincidently go to the same college. They are forced to be partners in Spanish, for the entire year. Most of the time she finds him annoying, but the other times she gets a glimpse of who he is under the player façade. She's been through more pain and suffering than most people do in a life time, she finally got back to being almost normal. Childhood Sweethearts
#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Perfect Strangers
Follow my Instagram for any updates and if you have any questions: @nikki_k123 Alex has been living the same life, with the same routine, repeating it every day. Every day is the same. The one thing she does look forward to is going to cafe de l'amour every morning on her way to school, where she sits and writes, all while seeing Carter Reed. The most popular boy at school who, surprisingly, prefers the solitary life. They go to the same cafe every day, sit at the same tables every day, and notice each other every day, yet are strangers who have never uttered a word to one another. And strangers they shall remain. Perfect strangers. But that's about to change. . . . . . I watched as he kept his eyes trained on the notebook in front of him where he aimlessly drew spirals and coils that surrounded each other, trapped each other, and suffocated each other. My eyes traced the movement of his pen, following each line he drew onto the paper. "Your tea." I snapped out of my trance and looked up, thanking Katy before she went back to the counter. I turned back and caught him looking at me. I expected him to look away and continue acting like I don't exist. Like he's always done and so have I. What I didn't expect was for him to walk right over and sit with me. "Hi, I'm Carter." PSA: This story is inspired by the Wattpad novel 'Caffeine' by @meddlingkids ALL RIGHTS RESERVEDComplete
