Angell Pagliarini was just your average twenty year old. She worked part time in a cafe in Manhattan, read books in her free time, and enjoyed the variety of foods the city had to offer. With her friends in tow, she sets out to travel to the beautiful city of Tokyo, Japan. But a massive storm seemed to knock their plane out of the sky, killing all the passengers except for Angell and her friends. She's convinced that it was destiny for them to end up on this small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. But now, they must learn to survive on the island; even if that means never seeing their families and friends again.

Both of her parents are super rich and try and see who can buy her the best expensive thing. Miranda really doesn't like to be fawned over..at all. She's really low key. One summer, her mom moves to Paris and wants her to fly down to visit her. On the plane ride there, she meets a super cute guy in first class. But then, things turn upside down...literally.
