She asked, her voice cracking a slight bit in the end as she looked into his eyes with a shred of hope.

Sasuke's eyes narrowed as he turned around and started walking the opposite direction, but not before the answer escaped his lips.

"There's nothing needed to be said."

And just like that the little hope that she had held onto, something that gave her a reason to look forward to the future, broke.
