To any stranger who passes her in the street, Georgia Wilson is an ordinary girl, living in an ordinary town, in an ordinary world. That's what they think, when they see her cute button nose and bright blue eyes glistening throughout the hustle bustle of London's busy town. She has scars in her past that can make her fall at the thought of them; her present life is a mess, as is any normal 14 year olds. She tries to cover her wounds and carries on with her life but people from her past, who she just wished would stay hidden keep coming back to haunt her. Throughout all of this, she is stuck in the dreaded FRIEND ZONE, her bestest friend of all time Jas helps her through the hard times and is always there in the good.

How can a normal seventeen year girl have the luck of a broken mirror? How can she work late every night and get up early for school? How can she deal with the cruelty of a father who enjoys her pain? For a while these questions didn't bother Georgia. For as long as she can remember she was the one who took care of her sister, Camille. She was the one who paid the bills. She was the one who got food and learned to fix broken toilets. She was the one her father took his frustrations out on. Simple. But when Josh comes along her life is suddenly not that simple. She became noticed at school. Which means the bruises and scars were noticed. Josh knows how screwed up her life is. He knows about the abuse. He knows that she could get it all to go away. But how does he stop her from being afraid? Can he convince her to love him back without being scared?
