when you gave me the sun in the middle of winter and made the snow upswing to the summer fervor, i had discovered that through the deepest of my misery, 'nevertheless' was not a yearning. because you made it a reality and unexpectedly cherry blossoms fell rather than the waters of the mountains. my life was given a new meaning, my hope, once more, unrestrained and searching. you were the reason. you, my 'nevertheless'.

I am a Figure skater. I skate 6 hours a day, 30 hours a week and about 2,700 minutes a month. That doesn't include training, off-ice, ballet, drama, and yoga. I have three coaches (the top best), a choreographer, physical trainer, a ballet teacher, a drama teacher, a dietitian, a podiatrist, a chiropractor and a tutor. I know what your thinking. All this for a sport? It's not a sport, it's a lifestyle and a PASSION. (I thought I would right this story because I am a figure skater and I didn't see a lot of figure skating books so I wrote a story I might enjoy reading -from a fellow reader and writer)

Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?
