Si Al ay isang typical teenage nerd na nakagusto sa isa sa kanyang kakalase na si Marie. In the beginning of his highschool life people mistreated him as a nerd, an outcast, and an undeserving being of the world. He experienced many hardships, but as the years passed by he started to change not only in appearance but also in self esteem.
