The year is 2011. Why does it feel so much like the Middle Ages to her?

France. The small town of Rodez. Paris is hundreds of miles away.

Music. An art like no other. The people of Rodez tell stories of an angelic voice singing to the stars.

Dreams. Without them, we would be like birds with broken wings; never to fly again.

Love. How can a four-letter word be so powerful? Scary? Exciting?

A boy. From across the oceans. Never heard of Rodez. Living the dreams of millions.

A girl. Never left Rodez. Has dreams out of her reach. Never heard of him.

Once in a lifetime.

Should be written on the pages of a fairy tale.

Chronicles of becoming

4 parts Ongoing Mature

In her thirties, she walked away from a life that felt like it was closing in-leaving behind the familiar streets of Europe, a routine love, and the safety of everything she knew. Drawn by the promise of something greater, something electric, she chose New York. A city of endless lights, endless possibilities, and endless illusions. But instead of finding herself, she found emptiness. Nights blurred into fleeting encounters, brief touches that never lingered, and hollow moments disguised as connection. Beneath the vibrant pulse of the city, she felt nothing. No love, no fire, no sense of belonging-just a growing void. These are her chronicles-a raw and intimate journey of a woman lost between who she was and who she thought she could become. It's a story of longing, of chasing meaning in a world that offers only illusions, and of coming to terms with a brutal truth: sometimes, before you can find yourself, you have to confront the emptiness inside.
