From the very beginning of their friendship, Sophie was determined to be Hope's bodyguard. Seeing as Hope was too naive sometimes, it was Sophie's job to shield her from flirty boys and mean girls, and help her get through the hell that is  Northview High School.
However, as the girls begin their senior year, Sophie finds out that there are some things that she just can't protect Hope from. With her best friend becoming alarmingly distant and her own life going downhill, Sophie starts to fear that she may lose Hope forever.
