My master and king was headed to the neighboring kingdom Rown. And as his maidservant I was ordered to accompany him. But I couldn't help but feel afraid as the turquoise water crashed lazily against the worn dock.

"Lira!" My master calls to me, shaking me from the grasps of my mind. I look up to my master on the ship named Constance. "Hurry up now would ya? Or is there a mermaid in the water?" He says smirking at me. "No sire, I think you scared it off." I reply will grabbing the last of the supplies and running up the ramp.

"Well that's too bad, would have loved to see a mermaid like you." He says as I set the last supplies on the deck. "If I were a mermaid I would be in the ocean far away from here. Might even be in Atlantis Your highness." I say putting my hands on my hips as my baby blue dress swayed in the wind.

He chuckles, "Well a lovely mermaid you would be Lira."

I smirk and follow him to the bow of the ship. His long and curly, brown hair blows in the wind slightly as he stands there while Constance begins her journey. He strokes his scruffy beard and I see his emerald green eyes twinkle with delight as we see a pod of dolphins pass by.

Even the scar on his cheek doesn't take away my master's beauty. And even though he denies it his hair brings out the green eyes and the little specks of grey within them.

And as the salty air of the ocean brushed our noses I still felt uneasy, that something bad was going to happen...

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Instead, she discovers that the impossible is real, and that history is about to repeat itself. Unless she can stop it. ***Teaser*** The water hit with such a shock of cold that Cass thought she was going to pedal up and out of it again like some cartoon character. Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked panting, our foreheads still connected. "I said I'd make you pay, My Lady, also, thought that you might need help to take off this smoking hot, sexy dress which has put me through hell all evening" A smirk formed on my lips hearing his words. "Well, it seems like i am not the only one to accept this punishment ,huh?" i asked as I started to move my hips and grind o his boner a few times. "Don't push my limits, Princess. "Let me prove to you I am unlike them." Thousands of years ago, there was a faraway land called Oceanum Collis. Many different people lived among each other in peace. Elves, mermaids, werewolves, and humans. After fighting hundreds of wars, the people came to a compromise and started to work together. Realms were united and civilization was born. Oceanum Collis was beautiful and peaceful, but with light comes darkness. The humans felt left out. While the others had magic and great strengths, they were nothing special. A young man, Basil Adelio, found that humans deserved more than to be farmers. But there was more to his plan. He was after the throne, so he could rule all over Oceanum Collis. Together, the magical creatures were able to stop him. The humans left the lands, leaving behind everything they had built. The alliance between the four people was broken. The elves and mermaids tried to rebuild their alliance, but without the werewolves it was impossible. And so the three different people parted, hardly talking to one another ever again. Now, one hundred years later, a new realm has been created. It was separated from the other realms by a large wall. A new leader has risen from the shadows. He believed that the outside world was filled with dangerous things. So, he made sure everyone stayed within the walls of the empire. And those who didn't were never heard of again. As others always looked away, a young man called Orlando, always glanced beyond the wall. One day, he's able to see what's behind the wall for himself instead of hearing stories. A new world lies ahead of him, but it might not be as beautiful as he had hoped. A/n: Hey guys! So this is an original story. Please, do not copy the story or use my characters without my permission. This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up.
