Oliver has a pretty normal teenage life; he goes to school, gets good grades, he hangs out with his friends a lot, and he has a passion for music. Except he has a secret. A very big secret that no one knows. As time goes on he finds his whole life falling apart the longer he keeps his secret to himself. His grades start dropping, he losses interest in all his hobbies, and he starts getting into frequent arguments with his mom. How long can he go without telling anyone his secret? And what will his mom think when she finds out his secret?
*Note: This is a short story, I was intending for it to be longer but decided to write it for class and it had to be a short story. Some parts were also written last minute so some parts will be better than others.

Caleb is definitely a troubled child. Alone, with nothing going for him, he attempts to take his own life but fails at his first attempt. He desperately wants to try again but is put under constant supervision, especially by his new doctor, Dr Palmer. Dr Palmer becomes more and more involved in Caleb’s life, trying to help him see that his life is worth living through various methods. Eventually, the two build up a trusting and understanding relationship and Dr Palmer allows Caleb to do things that his parents would have never have let him do so soon after something so tragic. Caleb gets his life back on track, enrolling at college and even meeting a girl whom he used to know as a child. The two of them begin to date each other, and everything seems great for a while. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. He starts back at college full time, and becomes ever closer with Stephanie, the only person whom he feels that he can trust.
