This story is about a 13 year old girl. The story starts off as Raven being 13 years old. Raven is the protagonist. She is left alone for so long that she starts to here other voices other than her own. She keeps it to herself and doesn't talk to anyone. She used to be happy ,lots of attention ,and love from her parents and her 8 siblings. But she moves and she doesn't fit in. She figures out that no one smiles at her new school. Every time Raven has to go to school she holds her tears in. Raven knows if her parents find her crying then they are going to worry. Raven gets bullied every day. Raven finds herself suffering more every day.
