Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. Coming into the human world was definitely not my idea but I had no choice. I am the mermaid princess of the North American seas. The most powerful water monster had taken both my tail and my powers. In order to restore them and defeat him, I needed to find and gather the remaining 6 mermaid princess from each continent. We needed our tails and powers back in order to save the ocean from him but there is one main problem. If we tell a human we are a mermaid we immediately die and turn into water so we can't just go around and ask everybody if they were mermaids. The only times when humans can know that we are mermaids is if they find out themselves that we are mermaids. The seven mermaid princess must find each other by mermaid clues and looks.
