This was a story that I had in my works for so long. I posted this story back in 2014 and then in 2015 I had taken it down. Now whenever I went through my library I saw it, I always wondered why I didn't just get rid of it, but then I remembered that this was one of my first works and instead of deleting it, I should post it again, so I have one of my first still up here. So here you guys go. With her parents gone and no where to go, she is left running for the rest of her life. Until Aaron Walker. Bumping into him at a cafe, he seems to have a lot in common with Tara and some room at his place. Tara doesn't tell the Walkers about the DPU (Death Penalty Unit). An elite group threatening to kill anyone knowing of there secret. Some secrets are to be left hidden. But when Tara figures out something quite unsettling, she is forced to face the facts and keep hidden. Leaving Tara wondering if her life will ever be normal.

Turns out, his name is Ricky, he's a member of the most notorious and dangerous street gang in all of Los Angeles which is run by his older brother, and his mother was murdered when he was only seven. As the days pass, Katelyn begins to plan her escape, but suddenly overthinks it when she starts falling head over heels for Ricky. But with the police hot on their trails and them constantly dodging bullets from their enemies, Katelyn is torn between choosing the two things that she loves most: Ricky or her life.
