A story of Brotherhood, bravery, and sacrifice. In a world that has forgotten that darkness never goes quietly; that the Eldritch, the Horror, the Monster all lay in wait for a soul to wander near its path. Bidding their time before causing great and terrible events to unfold in the world.

In the late 1500's the Knights Templar were disbanded, and the darkness ruled until when, in secret, the Knights were reformed in 1947.

This is the story of Knight Captain Isaac DeGraves, on his rise to become the commander of the last free company of Templars. Between mind destroying horrors and necrotic foes on one side, and the global schemes of politicians and nation leaders on the other; the fight for their own identity as knights, as soldiers, and as mortal souls has just begun.

The Age of Solace: The Silver Wolf by -loneXwolf97-
63 parts Complete Mature
Volume 1 of the "Age of Solace" series. (Part 1 of 4). A serious dark-fantasy story. Descriptive violence and gore, as well as dark themes (Rated M, no lemons present). Peace. Conflict. War. Bloodshed. This is the way of things, and this is what happened between the dragons and mankind. Once they were allies. Man was ever growing and learning, while dragons were their guardians, watching over them. But mankind was greedy, and from that greed bred betrayal towards their great allies. In times long ago, dragon and man worked together to rid their realms of the demonic presence that once invaded their lands. Together, they defeated that enemy. But now, dragons are near extinct and the demonic menace has returned. There are humans that possess abilities that allow them to fight back, but it is not enough. Such humans have banded together, in a group called Corvin's blades. They hope to be able to defeat their enemy without the aid of dragons this time... but there is more to all of this than anyone understands. This story follows multiple youthful characters as they not only aid in the fight against the demonic threat, but learn and grow as they discover more about the lands they live in and of themselves. Views on dragons are changing, demons and spirits are invading, and two individuals are in the center of everything that is happening. Was it fate and destiny... or choice and coincidence? *Rated M for descriptive violence and gore, as well as dark themes* * Chapters to be updated* *Cover art was made by myself. A Fifth Daughter [Book 1: The Dragon Rider] by JJHays
30 parts Complete
A MODERN MEDIEVAL FANTASY #3 in Fantasy |Book 1 of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy| When darkness arises and the world of Fantasy is in danger of being destroyed, the Dragon Riders are the first to show up. Fire and fang, sword and shaft, meet the enemy head on and the wars don't end until the enemy is disbanded. It's not a pretty business, but it must be done to secure the lives of every creature within Fantasy. There are two Rider schools - over thousands of Riders and dragons - and Smoke Green is one of them, no matter how much she dislikes the idea and the heights. Her fate has been chosen, even if she doesn't want it. With a vacant father, a mother who has too many secrets, four older sisters, an older brother, and a three minute older, annoying twin brother, Smoke isn't expected to be much more than a hometown girl of Folklore; who will get a boring desk job and never leave home. But then the Sage of the Burrows proclaims her a Dragon Rider and a Fifth Daughter and Smoke's life changes stories - literally. Moving from Folklore to Legend, Smoke is taught that fears can be conquered and villains do have a hunger for power. She also learns she might just have the power this villain is after. She makes friends: Something she didn't know she could do, she finds her dragon: Someone she didn't know even existed, and she learns her past: Something she didn't know was so complicated. But when rebellions begin to break out across the globe; the world of Fantasy is once again put in danger and the Dragon Riders might not be able to save their home this time around. Especially, when the enemy is from one of their own royal families; once thought incinerated, and his accomplice might just be Smoke's long thought dead father. In this first book of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy, J.J. wants you to forget everything you think you know of mythology and open your mind to a new kind of fantasy.
