This is a poem that I have written a couple of months back for a English class assignment. This poem is about a African American girl who gets judged by the color of her skin and suffers depression.

she is hurt, she wants to be gone, she can't deal with the pain, she can't go on, she wants to give up, she wants to give in, she wants to be happy. but she never is. she judges herself, others judge her too, every day of her life, is a struggle to get through. Is this girl you? I know it's me.
