The second daughter, (Y/n), was hidden from the public eye at the request of the King. Zelda spent almost her whole life with government studies and prayer being stuffed into her face, her personal passions being frowned upon. (Y/n), on the other hand, had no duties to fulfill and instead studied alongside her sister, became a knight, and made a certain special friend. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. Author's note: This story takes place during Tears of the Kingdom, right after Link discovers the last of the dragon tears. It combines elements from that story, in addition to some of my other favorite Legend of Zelda games. Though I generally try to stay true to lore, at times I made adjustments to help things flow.
