Four year old Caspian is anxiously hiding by his parent's bedroom doors, listening to his mother's agonizing screams as she gave birth to his new sibling. The screams silence, and in their place are a baby's cry.
"Caspian, you can come in now." His father calls out knowingly over the crying. He dashed inside with a bashful grin.
"Say hello to Elizabeth, your baby sister, my boy." His mother sighs, relieved that the pain is over.
"She's beautiful, mommy. May I hold her?" Little Caspian asks in awe of his new little sister.
"Sit next to me." His mother says gently, and as he climbs on her bed, her cries stop. A bright, wide smile makes it's way on the baby's face as she's put in his arms, which makes Caspian smile equally as big and happy.
"Hello, you beautiful jewel. I'm your big brother, Caspian." His says sweetly, taking her little hand and shaking it.
"Jewel...I like it." Their father says, deciding his daughter's full name: Princess Elizabeth Jewel of Telmar.

"Lost and cold. Tired and lonely I reached out. I waved my arms and screamed for help. Desperately trying to speak. But nobody saw, nobody heard. Insecure and scared I hid myself away. Tried to silently- telepathically ask for guidance. But nobody spared a second glance. Unloved and lonely I let go. I gave up. Not wanting to live in a world where love could not find a place in my life. I never knew how wrong I was. Never knew that he was always there and had been from the start. I thought of myself as the girl lost in time. The one who didn't belong. I was not worth the first life I was given and lost in the next. I was screaming, craving, searching for something I knew nothing of. until he found me. He, who saved me from myself. My dear King." The year was 1940. with young men going into war, and women starting jobs, the children who lived in the cities, more specifically London were sent to live out in the country. when the Pevensie children arrive at the estate, they meet the 18-year-old maid, Anna. or Anna-Maria. a girl with a shadowed past, but a heart of gold. None of them could have predicted what a simple game of hiding and seek would lead to. What destiny was laid out before them. Least of all the girl whom lived twice. The one who lived inside her own head. lost in a sea of confusion, and longing for something deeper. The Queen waiting for her King.

"Oh. Milady Ashton, are you going to the ball for King Peter." The young centaur shyly asked Ashton. Ashton crouched down next to her, meeting her eye level with a friendly smile, "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, little one." "You know... The ball thing... Mommy told me it was the King's opportunity to woo a lady of Narnia." She explains with her limited vocabulary and a small lisp. "A courting ball?" Ben asks the little one. "That's it!" She exclaims, "Are you going?" "I guess we will see, we haven't been back to the castle since the war," Ashton tells the five-year-old, sugarcoating her response to avoid disappointing the child. "Ohh." She nodded before leaning down to Ash to whisper in her ear, "My father told me stories from the war, of course not the stories with too much fighting, but he mentioned the greatness of the prophesied. You were always my favorite." She giggles. Ash didn't know what to say as the little centaur bounced away. She stood from the party, needing a minute outside. Edmund followed her after her, wanting to help his dear friend with the news. "Ash, I'm sure there's an explanation." "Yes, a simple one Ed. I left. Your brother owes me nothing. It is his choice. If he wants every spoiled, perfect, primitive, self-centered princess within a hundred miles lining up at his feet. That is his choice and does not concern me." Ashton admits, more negatively than she intended. "This is not going to end well." Ben comments, openly. ╣╠ Ashton returns to Cair Paravel and it is clear that in the two years she spent away, much has changed. ╣╠ Multiple POV ╣╠ Story intertwined with the golden ages after The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. I only own Ashton, Benvolio, and any other characters not in the books or movies. ╣╠
