Four year old Caspian is anxiously hiding by his parent's bedroom doors, listening to his mother's agonizing screams as she gave birth to his new sibling. The screams silence, and in their place are a baby's cry.
"Caspian, you can come in now." His father calls out knowingly over the crying. He dashed inside with a bashful grin.
"Say hello to Elizabeth, your baby sister, my boy." His mother sighs, relieved that the pain is over.
"She's beautiful, mommy. May I hold her?" Little Caspian asks in awe of his new little sister.
"Sit next to me." His mother says gently, and as he climbs on her bed, her cries stop. A bright, wide smile makes it's way on the baby's face as she's put in his arms, which makes Caspian smile equally as big and happy.
"Hello, you beautiful jewel. I'm your big brother, Caspian." His says sweetly, taking her little hand and shaking it.
"Jewel...I like it." Their father says, deciding his daughter's full name: Princess Elizabeth Jewel of Telmar.

"Oh. Milady Ashton, are you going to the ball for King Peter." The young centaur shyly asked Ashton. Ashton crouched down next to her, meeting her eye level with a friendly smile, "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, little one." "You know... The ball thing... Mommy told me it was the King's opportunity to woo a lady of Narnia." She explains with her limited vocabulary and a small lisp. "A courting ball?" Ben asks the little one. "That's it!" She exclaims, "Are you going?" "I guess we will see, we haven't been back to the castle since the war," Ashton tells the five-year-old, sugarcoating her response to avoid disappointing the child. "Ohh." She nodded before leaning down to Ash to whisper in her ear, "My father told me stories from the war, of course not the stories with too much fighting, but he mentioned the greatness of the prophesied. You were always my favorite." She giggles. Ash didn't know what to say as the little centaur bounced away. She stood from the party, needing a minute outside. Edmund followed her after her, wanting to help his dear friend with the news. "Ash, I'm sure there's an explanation." "Yes, a simple one Ed. I left. Your brother owes me nothing. It is his choice. If he wants every spoiled, perfect, primitive, self-centered princess within a hundred miles lining up at his feet. That is his choice and does not concern me." Ashton admits, more negatively than she intended. "This is not going to end well." Ben comments, openly. ╣╠ Ashton returns to Cair Paravel and it is clear that in the two years she spent away, much has changed. ╣╠ Multiple POV ╣╠ Story intertwined with the golden ages after The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. I only own Ashton, Benvolio, and any other characters not in the books or movies. ╣╠

The Pevensie siblings have ruled Narnia for many years. Narnia has entered its Golden Era, filled with peace and prosperity. However, a new threat is emerging. King Hakan of Telmar is threatening war with the Narnians unless some sort of agreement can be reached. In the pursuit of peace, King Edmund has crossed the lands to Telmar. Waiting for him is Yvaine Shula, a lady of King Hakan's court. Ever since she was little, Yvaine was fascinated by Narnia and all of the creatures who lived there. Most of all, she was curious about Aslan and the four sibling monarchs. When Yvaine hears about King Edmund's arrival, she leaps at the chance to ease her curiosity. Despite the tensions growing everywhere, Yvaine finds herself growing closer to the Narnian king. What will it take to save his kingdom? What can she possibly do to help? And most of all, how big of a mess will her complicated emotions make? DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Chronicles of Narnia or any of the lands and characters found within. I only take credit for my original characters and this story. WARNING: This book, while being a work of fiction, still contains real elements and deals with the subject of war. There will be chapters that deal with death, depression, slight gore, etc. ADDITIONAL NOTE: This story portrays the characters as they appeared in the live action films, although I have tried to incorporate more of their book details as well. This is just to clear up some things, such as Edmund's appearance. I based him off Skandar Keynes' portrayal of him. Completed November 17, 2020 *UNSOLICITED CRITICS MAY BE MUTED* see bio
