Matthew/Matt Alexander Oliver is a quirky 18 year old boy who hasn't even begun to shape into a man. He attends Legacy Academy for Arts in Washington State fro his Photography and Visual Arts skills, just to be roomed with a 17 year old girl who has the gift of Writing and Journalism. She goes by the name of Jaylene/Jay Quinn Sawyer. Matt and Jay soon find out that living with each other isn't what they bargained for. For some it's easy to get along with your opposite major to have to work together , but for them it's hell in the making. Day by day it is just like adding fuel to the fire, he does something wrong, or she is too much. That is until they look up at the stars and make something of themselves together. I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? Was it some sort of local lingo? How did I get rejected on my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school rejects me.
