A story set in the Mahou Sensei Negima/UQ Holder universe, it follows a young mage from the Magical World, H. J. Elliot, who is assigned to work as a school nurse for a public school in Kyoto.  While touring the city by broom, he is attracted to the sounds of battle below, and meets the last swordsmen of Shinmeiryu and his charge. This charge, a prince and distant relative of the royal family in Ostia, wants to claim his birthright and return to the Magic World as king. With the help of H. J. , Takashi and the friends they make along they way, this fated meeting will have consequences that could bring the Magic World to the brink of destruction.
