Emily changes from her small quite town in Ireland to the hustle-bustle of New York City. She's forced to join 'The Welcome Club' that is set up to torture new students by making them play weird pointless games and talk about how they are feeling, according to Emily. 
She meets the oddest group of people there ,one is a computer mastermind from Japan, another speaks very little English and one doesn't speak at all! 
But there is one person who Emily does meet in this club that is about to change her life. 
He was born with cancer and has to wear a prosthetic leg, that and his name is all she knows about him. Could there be even more things he's hiding from her?
