[[word count: 40,000-46,000 words]] Cover designed by Anthony Creek *** He heard banging and screams, but he still proceeded to try the knob anyway. Which was already a dumb move. The victim wouldn't have struggled if the door wasn't locked in the first place. A voice yelled, "Help!" It came from behind the door. Marcus turned around to see if anyone had followed him upstairs, but then he saw no one except a painting on the wall. "Leonardo!" the voice yelled again. "Stop playing games with me. Get me the fuck out of here! Right fucking now!" "Gianna?" Marcus yelled back. "Is that you?" There was no response for a moment. He was assuming that the woman was assessing the situation. "Gianna?" Marcus yelled again. "Hey, it's me! I'm getting you outta here!" "Marcus! How did you get in here?" "Don't worry about it!" He punched the door knob like a clueless idiot, testing if it would break that easily. But he guessed not. All he got in the process was a half-broken knuckle. "Stay away from the door!" he yelled at the woman. "What?!" she replied. Marcus decided to take a few steps away from the door, positioned his shoulders at the right angle, and inhaled a small amount of air for his chest to relax. He allowed his mind to grab the momentum. Afterwards he called it a start and rushed toward the door, like an angry bull upon seeing a red flag.

They grew up together in Kentucky, and even though Josh moved off to California to become a big time star, he always made sure the stay in touch. Jolene’s life has been the opposite of easy. Everyone who ever loved her disappeared, so she keeps up a wall to avoid getting herself hurt again. But when she moves to California right after her high school graduation, she finds it harder to keep up her rock solid demeanor. Suddenly she’s getting drunk with movie stars, flirting with singers, and grinding on models. None of them matter, though, because she’s got a secret admirer and she’s falling for him hard. The notes started after her first night in Los Angeles, which she doesn’t remember much of. All she has is a note addressed to her, left on Josh’s doorstop the following morning. No one saw who left it, it’s not signed, and there’s no return address. It would be easy to write off the message as a kind gesture from a guy she made a good impression on the night before if it weren’t for the fact that the next day, another note arrives. And then another. With three weeks before school starts, Jolene decides to follow the clues in the notes, which lead her on a private and personal tour of Los Angeles. Josh even clears his schedule to help Jolene with her search, knowing it means so much to her. Three weeks and 21 poetic clues later, Jolene receives the last letter, leading her to her secret admirer. And it’s definitely not who she expected.

(This is a really old book I recently brought back) Finally, Harry Styles gets to move into his new flat in Bradford. He's waited so long for this day to come and to find his dream job that he knew was closest to the home he was looking at. To become a tattoo artist, his love for art, ink and drawings has developed into something he see's himself doing for a lifetime. Everything felt just right, the beauty of things and the fresh air that he knew would bring him nothing but peace. There was only one problem though, he felt like everywhere he went, he was being watched. Could that be because he's somewhere different? Maybe his anxiety was getting the best of him? Zayn malik, the one neighbor most people avoid because of the way he looks and his quiet personality. The raven haired man never bothered to really make conversation with people who weren't real close to him which was probably never. He was alone, dealt with situations alone and hated pretty much the entire neighborhood for no real reason. But something inside of him had changed one day, not just something but someone. The moving truck, the boxes, a man with long curly hair and deep dimples. Zayn knew he had to have him, he needed him more than he needed air. So what a better way to catch up on this man than to watch his every move.
