Once a year, on the Full Blue Moon, which typically falls sometime in the end of the year depending on the celestial calendar, the annual Mating Ritual is held on the Sacred Land. The Mating Ritual is mandatory for all unmated wolves over the age of twenty by order of the Alpha-King. Twenty is the age when you become a fully matured wolf, or in other words, ripe for the mating.
The elders always say that the Mating Ritual is a beautiful thing, when young love sprouts, but we all know they mean when the next alphas and lunas are born. But really the Mating Ritual is a blood bath waiting to happen, where alphas kill other alphas for their prize-excuse me-mates. But it's not just the males who kill, but also females who kill for the best of the best of males. And this year will be no different.
Accalia Valenthia Arhein - 20 years old, born of alpha blood, younger sister to the alpha of the The Golden Delta Pack, strongest fighter and honorary warrior in her pack.
Dariston Royd Aushaira - 20 years old, born of alpha blood, oldest of his three siblings, strongest fighter/warrior in all of Aushaira, heir to Aushaira, soon to be Alpha-King.
What will happen when these two meet?
This is my first ever story and I will update as often as I can, I'm still a student guys. I want this story to be different than most werewolf stories, but there will be a couple cliches in here, it's inevitable guys. I've read a LOT of werewolf stories and I got tired of the same old stories and figured there wasn't enough of these types, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

We Are Werewolves
So the usual werewolf story consists of an alpha finding his mate, before they both end up facing some type of tragedy. And then, they have their perfect happily ever after. In the meantime while the Alpha finds his usual innocent but breathtaking mate, it is as if the rest of the pack's lives have been put on hold. I mean as long as the alpha and Luna are living in satisfaction who gives a crap about the people who helped contribute to make sure they're happy. What about the Beta who usually has to drop whatever he has going on to assist the Alpha to protect his mate? What about the members of the pack who are ranked lowest, because of what? Genes? Everyone is designed to have their mate by the moon goddess? No! By God! But when it comes to the Alpha's mate no one else's mate matters. I guess what I'm trying to say is since when did we start playing follow the leader we're not just wolves we are so much more than that we are werewolves.
