"Let's back up a bit. Okay so I am perfectly normal contrary to popular belief. My name is Rebecca Bradley and it's pretty average just like the rest of me. Even though every time my mom comes into school I just kind of die of embarrassment. Well she calls everyone sweetie pie even like umm Sergio the buffest guy I mean I just can't stand her. Would anyone? No. So maybe my parents aren't normal, but I'm pretty sure I am. At least I hope I am. No one's ever said I'm not normal before, so I guess that's why I'm kind of dying right now. Well that and I'm pretty sure I just ruined what might have been my only chance with my crush. Now I stand with my feet glued to the tile floor as I watch my dream crush, the hottest guy in school, and the quarterback for our football team, walk away stomping on my dreams. He even has the hottest name... Cameron Knight."

Her overbearing father won't even let her choose what instrument she plays. Then she finds herself alone at a party with Ren, her best friend's crush. But if she stays true to Jenny, she's losing the one person who can see past her scars. It's up to Ella to decide if she will forge her own path, or stay in the "perfect" box designed for her...
