In the city of Naradin, it's either kill or be killed. Typical, isn't it? But in Crystal's reality, if you are older than twelve, it's pretty much an automatic death sentence. The rules of Naradin are simple. Whenever you kill a person, you gain what you thought thier best trait was. Whether it be playing the piano or archery, the more you kill, the more skill you gain. But Mason Delaware has a special power. Love was banned long ago. But as his abilities surface, and the government takes action, Crystal needs to try and learn what "love" is.

"She was invisible. He was untouchable. But love doesn't follow rules." Ella Malik has always lived in the background - quiet, cautious, and nearly invisible. In a world of luxury cars, perfect reputations, and private parties, she knows the rules: stay out of sight, stay out of trouble, and never fall for someone out of reach. William Ashford breaks every rule. Cold. Brilliant. Untouchable. He's rich enough to have everything - and guarded enough to feel nothing. Until Ella. What starts as a reluctant academic partnership slowly turns into something neither of them can explain - or ignore. She challenges his silence. He softens her edges. And beneath casual moments and stolen glances, something raw and real begins to spark. It's not just comfort. Not just attraction. It's the kind of love that refuses to stay quiet - fierce, fragile, and all-consuming. He sees her when no one else does. She reaches places in him no one's ever touched. And even if they come from two different worlds, their hearts speak the same language.
