Katherine had a taste of what it felt like to have a family, what it felt like to be loved by parents unconditionally. Life changed the day her mom died in a car accident. The accident that Katherine survived when she was only 10 years old and her little sister Abby was 2. That was the day that her dads feelings for her completely changed. Kat didn't feel anything could get worse until 1 year later her dad became engaged to her step mom Clarissa and in the following year her sister Abby the light of her world was diagnosed with Leukemia. Now that Katherine is 17 new adjustments are being made to her life and she has little control. 


Seth, is a 24 year old chemotherapy doctor who specializes with child cancer patients. Seth can be very demanding and controlling because of his upbringing but more so caring. Abby is one of his patients that he recently got assigned too. Abby is 8 years old and has been in and out of hospital care for majority of her life. Every visit Abby's conversation with Seth always leads to her talking about her big sister. What happens when this doctor has a run in with Abby's older sister Kat.
