During the war, Harry was hit with the Perdita di Memoria. A spell that has temporary blocked all memory and motor functions, leaving him disabled.
After the War, Hermione and Ron were roped into helping him, much to their (secret) annoyance, but they couldn't do anything.
Insert Draco Malloy who really never could let Harry be. But Malfoy brings something out in Harry, something neither Hermione or Ron had seen since he was hit with the spell; Recognition.
