Guardinals: once a powerful title held by warriors, now a powerful title held by barbarians.

After the brutal Celestial Brethren War, the Guardinals and shifters like them were banished to the realm Guardia to live the rest of their lives, away from the mortal world. With their skills no longer used for protecting, the Elders turned warriors into gladiators.

One thousand mortal years later, the last Relic Dragon is on the verge of becoming a Guardinal. Her name is Apolla. Blood and glory is what she knows best.
Three hundred years after mastering every battle art known to her world, she earned the mark of the Guardinal by killing every enemy she met with blue flames.

That was until another Guardinal Ward was destroyed. Now with a threat of a dangerous opponent and new arrivals coming to her Ward, she is forced to do something she never knew was an option: teach.

Being threatened into doing it wasn't sitting well with her, so her trusted companions dig for the truth as she does what she's told.

Journey through Apolla's struggle to find herself and protect the ones she loves as she tries to uncover the truth behind her past, her present, her future and the future of those closest to her.

All her life, Seraphina has been hidden away in the enchanted forest with her guardian, Calla. The result of a secret relationship between the daughter of one of the most influential families in the country, and a mysterious and extremely powerful Ethereal, it is imperative that Seraphina's identity remain a secret - at least until she is powerful enough to protect herself against the many enemies of her parents. So, when a tutor from the prestigious Amber Cove Academy appears, Seraphina disguises herself as a Stain; a member of the slave race controlled by magically gifted Ethereals. Thanks to years of Stain and Ethereal relations, it isn't uncommon for Stains to have powers of their own. Because of this, every year, tutors from Amber Cove travel the country in search of champions to attend the academy. This year, Seraphina is one of the champions. Soon, Seraphina finds herself in the competitive world of the Academy, where no one is truly your friend and image and reputation are everything. Seraphina has to learn quickly how to fit in, her survival in the Ethereal world depends on it. Of course, that is easier said than done when Ethereals refuse to treat the Stain champions with any respect. School bullies are the least of Seraphina's problems, however. The longer she stays at the Academy, the longer strange things start to happen. Whispers in the walls, strange visions, and students getting injured can only be the cause of a darkness that plagues the halls of the Academy which is somehow linked to Seraphina. To make matters worse the gods that watch over them are more active than ever and their cruelty knows no bounds. Seraphina finds herself thrust into the middle of wars between strange and ancient entities. Secrets are unravelled, and the more Seraphina learns about her world and herself, the more the gods' eyes fall on her. Book One in the Amber Cove Academy Series. Updates on Saturdays
