A loner she-cat who has dwelled in the shelter of a barn for months must leave her home in search of shelter from an enemy. That enemy is a clutter of loners who call themselves "Storm Bringers." The Storm Bringers have targeted all her friends, and finding them is even more dangerous.
As more cats disappear,

With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall.
