Michelles diary, May 2028 - Evening.

Today was not a good day. All of the classrooms and corridors of the school have been cleared out two weeks ago, but the basement was still unsafe. 
My mum and the others went down to clear out the zombies that were left, but Tom got bitten. 
When they came back mum told me and my sister he shot himself, because he didn't want to turn into one of them. I would probably have done that too.
At least I didn't cry this time.

The outbreak happened so fast. Maggie wasn't given the chance to find out what was written inside the diary. It was given to her by a man who claimed to be someone who knew who her mom was. The whole town was evacuated to a safer place. The government was trying to control the people in order to prevent them to panic. Just then, while Maggie and her dad was on the way to a safer place, they were attacked by a bunch of flesh eating people. They happened to kill and eat Maggie's dad and left her alone inside a car surrounded by flesh eating people. Maggie called Jerry, her best friend, for help. And there he was, a Knight in shining armor ready to save his damsel in distress, wishing that all of this is just a sort of fairy tale rather than a perilous nightmare.

She used her medical knowledge to tend to Jace's wounds when he was injured, and she helped Tom when he fell ill. She was the glue that held the group together. Jace was a person who knew where his morals were. He'd stand and fight as well as heal the wounded. He knew how to find information. He scoured the abandoned town for books and maps, and he used his knowledge to help the group navigate the dangerous terrain. He was also a skilled storyteller, and he kept their spirits up with tales of adventure and heroism. Together, the three of them set out to find other survivors. They travelled through the ruins of their town, avoiding the infected and the raiders who roamed the streets. They encountered many dangers along the way, but they never gave up hope.
