"Go to the back pal! " I bark at the man who just put himself in front of me in the line. What the hell is this guy's problem I've been waiting here longer like I'm supposed to, this jerk!

The man turns around anger in his eyes. "What did you say? " his deep and cold voice made the whole shop quite. I glared at the man. "Are you deaf?, I said go to the back!" I snap at him frustrated.

His green eyes full with even more anger taking a step closer. I stand my ground to this massive man in front of me.

"Do you know who I am girly? " he asks angrily, our eyes never breaking contact. "I'm Jasper Sanders." he roars proudly. Everyone gets stiff at the mention of his name.

"Is that supposed to mean anything to me?"

"Ava, you have to be quiet! They'll hear you-" Tears started to spill from my eyes, blending in with the rain that dripped down my face. I shouldn't have come here. The last time I followed someone I made accidentally noise and got them killed. I had to get away from Jaxon. I turned on my heel, ready to run to, but Jaxon grabbed my wrist. "Let go" I choked, "I have to leave. You're in danger-" The next thing I knew, his lips crashed onto mine. His arms wrapped around my body, pulling tightly to his chest. "Stop it" I sobbed, unable to control my trembling. "Why are you doing this? Let me go-" "I had to get you quiet" he murmured. "Please Ava. You have to try to calm down. I understand you're scared right now, but you have to trust me. We're going to get home safely. Stay with me a few more minutes, and then we'll get the f*ck out of here. I promise." -- A little about Ava: She has made the long move from Detroit, Michigan to California to escape her gruesome past. She moves in with her older sister, and is ready to start her junior year of high school. Despite the demons she carries, she holds onto hope for a bright future. A little about Jaxon: he's 17, and Oceanview High's resident bad boy. He comes from the Marvel family, a family of cold-hearted millionaires who don't seem to care much about their kids. "You disappoint me... What do you even see in him?" "Aren't you tired of this already?! If you want to pick a fight, fight me, not him. Got it??" What he did enraged me so much that I threw my hardest punch at his face, forcing his head to snap to the side. "If you ever touch him again--" before I could finish my sentence, he grabbed my arm and slammed me against the wall. "If I touch him again, what?!" he shouted, his face inches from mine, as I trembled with rage. "Got a big crush on the kid, huh?!" he exploded, and I could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on us. ~~ Have you ever wondered how different your life would be if you changed just the smallest of your actions? Because that's what I do. I wonder how my life would be now if I hadn't made that tiny mistake in the schoolyard. Everything started then. When I met you, twelve years ago...
