"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is a short story of speculative fiction by American author Washington Irving, contained in his collection of 34 essays and short stories entitled The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent.. Written while Irving was living abroad in Birmingham, England, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" was first published in 1820. Along with Irving's companion piece "Rip Van Winkle", "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is among the earliest examples of American fiction with enduring popularity, especially during Halloween because of a character known as the Headless Horseman believed to be a Hessian soldier who lost his head to a cannonball in battle.

Based on the movie Sleepy Hollow Set in 1799, "Sleepy Hollow" is based on Washington Irving's classic tale "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Police Constables Ichabod Crane and his partner, Y/n L/n, is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people; the culprit being the legendary apparition The Headless Horseman. While the two doesn't believe in the legend, there has been many cases that all leads to the Horseman. During their stay, they met different kinds of people, some with good intentions, some not so much. This makes this case the most bizarre they have ever seen. And to top it off, one of the constables is hiding a secret from the other. Would the duo solve this case or would they discover something more in the strange little town called Sleepy Hallow. He lived in the streets with no food. He found other kids like him and they united, becoming who they are now. He knew who caused his family's death and he wanted revenge. What he didn't expect though, is to find an innocent and adorable girl, scared for her life. She awakes feeling he didn't even know he would feel in his life and he didn't know if he was scared or not. Can Isabella warm Kennan's, cold heart?
