At Carley County High, football is basically religion to the students and staff. Football is all everyone talks about and is practically the only thing that matters to them.
The star quarterback, Joey, is unlike the others on his team. He's smart and hard-working. But he has a secret that he's hiding.
The drama department gets treated the exact opposite of football. No one even cares to attend their shows.
Dillon, a member of drama, tries to find hope for his friends in the department. What he finds is a feeling for Joey. Can the two be friends, or perhaps more?
Then there's Layla. She's on the cheer squad and tries her best to please people, but she has a hard time doing that. She does something to herself that helps ease the pain of disappointment.
Conflict occurs between everyone which causes secrets to come out.
