Back a few hundred years, magic existed. Well, it still exists. It has always existed. The word "human" was an insult. A few people found magic hard to learn and that spread like wildfire. The people with difficulty declared themselves humans and burned the world of magic. The magical beings, demons, had to retreat to their own world. 
    Centuries later, a princess thought to be dead is found in the human world. Eight demons, two devils, a zombie, a fortune teller, a ghost, a water elemental, a kitsune, and a vampire, are sent to different parts of the world in pairs to find her. They all end up in the same place, and they find their secret links to the world of humans.
