Britt is different. Unlike you, unlike the orphan kids she lives with in the adoption center, and unlike anyone the world has ever seen. She can kill. And all she has to do, is touch someone's bare skin. Born with this ability, Britt can kill anyone and anything with just the touch of her fingers, and it scares even her. She can't have friends, she can't have a boyfriend, and she certainly can't have pets. She can't do anything, and she feels as if her life is over. But one day, she bumps into a new girl in the center. She dropped her books, and they skim fingers. Thinking her life is over, she panics and runs. Until she finds out the girl is perfectly fine. Her entire world spins upside down as she learns who she is, and what she is meant to do. But the thing is, does she have the guts?

Ever have the feeling that something is not quite right, but you just can't put your finger on it? I do, I can hear the voice that tries desperately to influence my movements and tries to destroy any shred of sanity I can keep my hands on. My life always was weird from the vague memories I can recall from my childhood, but there is always something that makes me stop trying to remember. I've learned the hard way how cruel and despicable people can be. Life is complicated enough, but then people just always have to make it that much harder. ----------- Tori didn't have an easy start to life. She knew very little other than isolation and few emotions she chooses to acknowledge if she doesn't have to. Her life was turned upside down at the young age of twelve, throwing her into a tailspin unlike she had ever experienced. Not only was the only home she ever knew torn away, but she found herself thrust into a human riddled world she never knew existed. At first, she struggled with trying to accept her new life, struggled to find ways to cope, but with the help of a few friends, she found herself thriving in her new environment until her past caught up with her. --------- Sorry guys! I really suck at book descriptions, please give it a read and let me know what you think!
