Long before magic disappeared from the world for centuries, it thrived in the old kingdoms. A prophecy was issued speaking of the death of magic at the beginning of time. It spoke of a girl and her friends journeying through the land of the flame old kingdoms to fulfill the prophecy and bring back magic.
Lily Grace Carter was found bleeding and unconscious due to a large gash leading from her shoulder, all the way down her right arm. She was brought to the palace where she met Tristan and Will Fenway. After she is healed, Will offered for her to stay in the kingdom to continue training as a paladin and mage. Lily accepts, quickly being welcomed into the royal family's ranks with open arms by King Jackson Fenway, along with his wife Queen Tamara and the youngest of the Fenway's. Tristan and Lily take a quick liking to each other forming a strong bond.
Now Lily having come of age, she is able to join The Kings Council, an elite group of problem solvers, local geniuses, knights,and mages that protect the kingdom against threats. During a meeting Matthias Greenspell, the king of Aline sends Captain of the royal guard Philip Thornblood to deliver a letter proclaiming war against Sanctum.
